Rules and Terms & Conditions

Rules

  1. Only Beretta shotguns can be used for the full duration of the competition. You will not be able to shoot the competition if you arrive with a gun from another manufacturer. There is no targets only option. The SPAuto competition must be shot with a semi-automatic Beretta shotgun.
  2. Ladies, Under 21's and Veterans will shoot in their CPSA classified classes and are also eligible for prizes in their respective categories.
  3. Shooters not registered with the CPSA and who therefore do not have a CPSA class will be placed in a class determined by their scores on completion of the event.
  4. Maximum permitted load is 28 gram. Plastic wad permitted.
  5. Anyone barred from taking part in CPSA events will not be eligible to enter.
  6. All entrants will be given the choice of start time, subject to availability, GMK reserve the right to move competitor(s)/squads to a later start time where deemed necessary. All shooters must report to their first stand at least ten minutes prior to their allocated start time.
  7. Once the top three places have been decided these three shooters will be taken out of their classes and the class prizes will be awarded in accordance with the original scores
  8. To decide the class and category placements in the event of a tie, winners will be determined by a GMK's scoring algorithm. In the event of a tie for Gold, Silver or Bronze overall, there will be a shoot off on the last day of the event. If you fail to attend the shoot off you forfeit your podium position and revert to your class prize only.
  9. The referee on the squad's final shooting stand will retain the squad scorecards.
  10. The sponsors reserve the right to give prizes of equivalent value should the prize not be available.
  11. In the event of a dispute, there will be a five-person jury for the duration of the event whose decision will be final.
  12. The Organisers reserve the right to change the prizes and amend the rules.
  13. The prize giving will be held after the final results have been calculated on the last day (approx. 6pm).
  14. Any prize winner must ensure that they have been allocated into the correct CPSA class. Your CPSA class will be stated on your E-tickets and upon checking in to the event. Any incorrectly awarded prizes must be returned to GMK immediately.
  15. All prizes will be posted to winners if they are not able to attend the prize giving.
  16. Under 21's must be under the age of 21 for the duration of the shooting event. Veterans must have had their 60th birthday prior to the start of the event.
  17. The use of shotgun mounted cameras is not permitted.
  18. Participants are allowed to purchase multiple entries for the competition. However, it should be noted that only the score from their initial entry will be considered for prize eligibility.

  1. REGISTRATION & ID VERIFICATION

    12:00 PM - 12:45 PM All competitors check in. Every squad member must present a valid Emergency Services ID card (Police, Fire, NHS, Coastguard, etc.) to verify eligibility.

    1.1 Registration Desk Location
    The registration desk will be clearly signposted at the main entrance.

    1.2 Main Event Start Time
    1:00 PM Sharp All squads must be at their designated stand. Shooting commences simultaneously across the course.

    1.3 Scorecard Submission Deadline
    4:30 PM All final squad scorecards must be returned to the main desk.
  2. TEAM SHOOT-OFF (IF TIED)

    5:30 PM In the event of a tie for podium places (Gold, Silver, Bronze), the tied squads will face the sudden-death team shoot-off.

    2.1 Team Shoot-Off Plan
    The scoring desk announces the tied teams. Team captains gather at the shoot-off stand and toss a coin to determine who shoots first.

    2.2 The First Round (Team A) 5:30 PM - 5:42 PM
    Shooter 1 from Team A steps into the stand and shoots 2 pairs (4 targets total). Shooter 2 immediately steps up for their 4 targets. This repeats rapidly until all 6 members of Team A have shot. Total possible Team A score: 24.

    Team B 5:42 PM - 5:54 PM
    Team B steps up immediately. All 6 members of Team B shoot the exact same 4-target sequence. Total possible Team B score: 24.

    2.3 Declare Winner or Trigger Sudden Death
    The team with the highest combined score out of 24 is declared the winner.

    2.4 Sudden Death Rule
    If Team A and Team B remain tied after all 12 individuals have shot, the shoot-off moves to single-pair sudden death. Shooter 1 from Team A shoots a single pair, followed by Shooter 1 from Team B. The first team to clear a pair while the other misses a bird wins. If they match, it moves to Shooter 2.
  3. PRIZES & PRESENTATION

    6:00 PM Crowning of the Emergency Services Champions and distribution of prizes immediately following the shoot-off.
  4. Teams can use any brand of shotgun. The &?ldquo;Beretta Only&?rdquo; rule does not apply to this category.
  5. If you&?rsquo;re shooting the Team Event, please note that you won&?rsquo;t be eligible for prizes in the Gold Cup, as both events use the same course.
  1. Governance & Regulations
    • 1.1. This competition is a 100-target individual event, held in strict accordance with the rules and regulations of the CPSA (Clay Pigeon Shooting Association) and the ISSF (International Shooting Sport Federation).
    • 1.2. The competition consists of 4 rounds of 25 targets, followed by a Top 6 progressive elimination Final.
    • 1.3. A designated Event Jury will be appointed on the morning of the shoot. The Jury's decision on all scoring disputes, technical issues, or rule interpretations is final
  2. Squad Punctuality & Bunker Swapping
    • 2.1. Official squad lists and start times will be set on 11th September. Amends swaps will on be available on 18th September at the competition and will be at the organiser's discretion.
    • 2.2. Reporting Times: Competitors must report to their assigned Bunker, fully geared up, at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time.
    • 2.3. Late Arrivals: If a shooter fails to appear when their squad is called to the line, the round will start without them. Missing targets will be marked as "Lost." Late arrivals may only join the line mid-round with the express permission of the Chief Referee, provided it causes zero disruption to the squad rhythm.
    • 2.4. Bunker Swap: To ensure absolute fairness across the layouts, Squads 1-4 will swap to Bunker 2, and Squads 5-8 will swap to Bunker 1 at the midpoint of the competition (as detailed on the event timetable).
  3. Shotguns & Ammunition Restrictions
    • 3.1 Cartridge Compliance: Only cartridges with a maximum load of 24 grams and a maximum shot size of 2.6mm (Standard UK No. 7½, 8, or 9) are permitted.
    • 3.2 Gun Safety: All guns must remain completely unjointed/broken and unloaded when moving around the ground. Semi-automatic shotguns are permitted but must have a safety breech flag inserted at all times when not standing on an active shooting station.
  4. Ties, Finals, & Prize Payouts
    • 4.1 The Final: The top 6 scoring shooters from the 100-target main event will qualify for the Olympic progressive elimination final (50 targets max, single-shot rule applies).
    • 4.2 Qualification Ties: If a sudden-death shoot-off is required to determine the 6th spot for the final, it will take place immediately after the final scores of Round 4 are verified. Shooters must remain near the clubhouse to hear the announcement.
    • 4.3 Media Consent: By entering, competitors consent to the club taking photographs and video footage for editorial, promotional, or social media use. Shooters wishing to opt-out must notify the registration desk in writing upon arrival.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your place at the Beretta Gold Cup please contact us.

  • Cancellations can be made at the discretion of GMK Ltd.
  • All cancellations will be subject to a 10% administration fee per entrant, this will be deducted from your refund.
  • Alternatively if you can find another person to take your place tickets can be transfered free of charge.
  • Cancellations made within 14 calendar days of the start of the event will be subject to a 50% administration fee per ticket, this will be deducted from your refund.
  • Cancellations made within 7 calendar days of the start of the event are not eligible for any refund
Amendments

If you need to make an alteration to your booking please contact us.

  • Amendments can be made free of charge.
  • Any changes to start times and/or day(s) are at the discretion of GMK Ltd and are subject to availability
  • Amendments made within 7 calendar days of the start of the event are at the discretion of GMK Ltd. We reserve the right to refuse any amendment request made during this time.
